The valley of Khangsung is a place to allure the trekkers with its grassland and an enchanting bosom of flowers. The trek to Kharta in summer provides an outstanding view of greenery. The Khangsung Valley trek is lead through the Langma La Pass at an altitude of 5320m-the highest pass on the way. The high elevation of all peaks on the way in its full capturing motion is only and alone the Mt. Makalu. Our agency has arranged professional service for this unique adventure. To explore this awesome trek, we can begin our tour with Lhasa or Tibet/Nepal border Zhangmu. We begin our trek from Kharta Town (or Dampu, a new road was open in 2014) in a way like the one a white crane looks at the time to pounce upon its prey. After an interval of our driving, we lead our trek to Lundrubling and the Kaamo Tsangpo Valley through Shao La. Further we lead the way to Khangsung Valley the next day and Pethang Ringmo. Our trekking comprises Hoppo, Kangshung base camp and then the base of Langma La. After all, we return to our destination Lundrubling through Langma. The next day we trek to Kharta and finally drive to Rongbuk Everest Base Camp.

Itinerary

Khata Valley Trekking to see East Face of Mt. Everest and all other Mountain Peaks

Day 1: Arrive in Lhasa. We pick you up from the airport and transfer you to your Lhasa hotel. You will rest for acclimatization. Overnight at Lhasa House of Shambhala or Yak Hotel or similar.
Day 2 (B): Free day in Lhasa for acclimatization. Overnight at Lhasa hotel above.
Day 3 (B): One Day Lhasa highlight sightseeing tour in downtown by walking: Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Streets. Overnight at Lhasa hotel above.
Day 4 (B): Lhasa-Yamdrok Lake-Karola Glacier-Pelkor Chode Monastery-Gyantse-Shigatse(350km). Overnight at Shigatse Gesar Hotel.
Day 5 (B,D): Drive from Shigatse to Kharta (3690m,Qudang Town), around 370 km, 8-10 hours, drive further to get to Yulong or Yuba village around 7pm, rest and camping.
Day 6 (B,L,D): Trek 4-6 hours to Dampu, camping
Day 7 (B,L,D): Trek 5-6 hours to Shawu Tso (4600m), camping
Day 8 (B,L,D): Trek 5-6 hours from Shawu Tso-Shawu La pass (also called Shao-La 5030m)-Joksham 4100m (View Makalu-Qomolongtse, etc), camping
Day 9 (B,L,D): Trek 5-6 hours from Joksham to Thangsum (4300m)-see trees-Khata Valley view-Black Lake view, camping
Day 10 (B,L,D): Trek 5-6 hours from Thangsum to Pethang (4300m), camping
Day 11 (B,L,D): 5am Trek from Pethang to Pethang Ringmo (4900)-Kungshung Face of Everest view (East Base Camp of Mt. Everest (5100m) back to Raga village 5pm, camping
Day 12 (B,L,D) Trek 10-12km from Raga to Tsoshutima (5000m, see almost all Mountain Peaks!),camping
Day 13 (B,L,D): 6-7am around 25km Trek from Tsoshutima to Langma-La pass (5330m, highest pass)-Lhundrobling, camping
Day 14 (B) Drive to Khada Town-Tsashi Tsong Town-Rongbuk (5000m), drive to Everest Base Campsite. Overnight at campsite or local guesthouse subject to weather condition and availability.
Day 15: Drive from E.B.C to Shigatse. Overnight at Shigatse Gesar Hotel or simiar.
Day 16: Drive from Shigatse to Lhasa. Overnight in Lhasa.
Day 17: Final departure

Option 2: Lhasa-Khata Valley trek-Grirong border-Kathmandu

Day 1: Arrive at Lhasa, pick up from airport and transfer to your hotel, rest for acclimatization. Overnight at House of Shambhala or Yak Hotel or similar (per confirmation)
Day 2 (B): Free day in Lhasa for acclimatization. Overnight at Lhasa hotel above.
Day 3 (B): One Day Lhasa highlight sightseeing tour in downtown by walking: Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Streets. Overnight at Lhasa hotel above.

Day 15: Spend more time at EBC, then drive to Gyirong(280km) border long driving. Overnight at Gyirong budget accommodation
Day 16 (B): Gyirong to border(70km), cross border, transfer to Kathmandu(160km) and drop you off at your hotel(accommodation on your own).
